Port steel tray: a best seller by Alessi
The Port tray is one of Alessi's best sellers, the shape and the three colors available, making it an object to be used on several occasions: a tray for pastries, a centerpiece or a serving dish to present fruit. In the Port tray, the steel is rippled to give life to an object with a poetic and delicate movement. Designed by Lluis Clotet, a designer primarily active in architecture but author of interesting objects for the home, he reproduced the effect of the silver paper ripples. In this tray the edge seems almost wrinkled and the effect is obtained by a single operation with the complex technique of cold molding.
