To manually slice the ham, you need a specific knife, characterized by an extra thin and long blade. Indeed, to get thin slices and regular serves a ham knife which allows you to cut without exerting excessive pressure, even in a horizontal position.
This knife is easily recognizable among the kitchen knives, because the blade, in addition to being extra thin and long, is flexible and has a round tip. Many use the ham knife also for the roast beef cut and salmon. For this last use, we recommend particular attention because the slice could stick to the blade and break. For this reason the salmon knife equipped with alveoli that prevent the slice from sticking to the blade.
