An icon among table lamps: Taccia with glass diffuser by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni
The table lamp TACCIA with glass diffuser is an icon of the design Italian as well as being one of the best-selling products by Flos. It emits indirect and reflected light. The brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni designed the first Taccia table lamp, in 1958, thinking of building the reflector using transparent plastic but abandoned the idea due to the deformations generated by the heat.
Three years later it was Flos to develop and subsequently to produce the famous blown glass bowl.
Reflector in glossy white liquid painted metal internally and white powder coated externally. Adjustable diffuserand in transparent mouth-blown glass. Body in extruded aluminum painted in matt black or silver anodized. Base in polished, nickel-plated and zapped steel.
